“We will have additional firefighters who are not on duty and fire wives at the stations to ensure ‘Truck or Treat’ continues even when the on-duty crews are answering emergency calls. “No Spring Fire crews will be out of service on Halloween night,” Evans said. The fire crews on duty during the event will continue to be in service and answering calls. “Firefighters love answering questions about the fire trucks so let’s hope the kids come with some good ones,” Evans said. 20-31: Festivals, pumpkin patches among things to do in northwest Houstonįirefighters will hand out candy to trick-or-treaters as well as fire helmets and other Halloween treats while answering questions from guests. The trucks and treats will be in the bay.”
“Parents can bring their kids to any Spring Fire Station, park, and then walk them over to the bay where the fire trucks are.
“We did not have a Halloween event in 2020 due to the pandemic, so we are eager to welcome back trick-or-treaters this year as infection numbers are dropping,” said Tracee Evans, communications director for the Spring Fire Department.
